INDUSTRIAL SEAMSTRESS FROM HOME – EXPERIENCE WANTED
Candidates without experience sewing heavy materials on industrial sewing machines will not be considered.
THIS POSITION IS NOT COMPLETELY REMOTE! Although this position is primarily done from home, you must live within an approximate 20-mile radius of Wylie, TX (75098) and have reliable transportation. AXL Advanced is looking for experienced industrial seamstresses to manufacture military-grade and tactical textiles from their own workshop or home workspace.
COMPENSATION
- Pay Per Piece Only (Not Hourly)
- Payment for each unit completed and approved.
- Seamstresses typically generate an equivalent income of $12-$15 per hour or more, depending on their efficiency, skill level, and quality of work.
- Rates vary depending on the complexity of the product.
- Higher production = higher income.
SEWING EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- You must have experience using a walking foot industrial sewing machine capable of sewing thick and multi-layer materials (equivalent to a JUKI DNU-1541S with needle positioner).
- You must buy, rent, or lease your own machine. The company does not provide sewing machines. We can recommend several companies in the Dallas area where you can buy, rent, or lease a suitable machine.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect work orders and materials.
- Visit our facilities approximately every 1–2 weeks.
- Assemble textile components into finished products.
- Maintain consistent production quality.
- Meet production deadlines and deliver completed orders on time.
- Perform product inspections and quality control. Identify sewing defects and correct problems when necessary.
- Perform basic daily maintenance of the sewing machine.
- Maintain professional communication regarding production schedules and needs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience using walking foot type industrial sewing machines.
- Experience sewing heavy materials.
- Experience meeting production deadlines.
- Work focused on quality control and precision.
- Ability to work independently from home.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (HIGHLY RATED)
- Experience sewing or manufacturing tactical equipment.
- Experience sewing tactical or military nylon products.
- Experience sewing load-bearing equipment.
- Creation, modification and development of patterns.
- Pattern making using CAD.
- Experience working with leather.
- Familiarity with composite materials.
- Familiarity with tactical equipment, military equipment, MILSIM, Airsoft, or other related industries.
